The other day we were talking to Sadie about Independence Day. We said she would probably see a lot of fire works. She had seen the fire works at Disneyland the day before. The conversation went like this:
Brian: "Do you know what tomorrow is?"
Sadie: "Uh, CHURCH!"
Brian: "Right and it's called Independence Day. There will be a lot of fireworks tomorrow."
Sadie: "Yeah, the firecrackers will be scary."
Me: "Scary, who told you they will be scary and who called them firecrackers?"
Sadie: "Joe calls them firecrackers and he asked his mom if he was gonna be scared."
Brian and me: "hahaha".
Brian: "Yeah, so tomorrow we will see a lot of fire works. It will be fun."
Sadie: "Because I will see a lot of fire workers?"
Brian: "What?"
Sadie: "Fire workers in the sky."
Brian and me: "Oh, ha, yep."
So, watching Brian tonight speak at a youth camp in Texas, he mentions this conversation to the crowd. Sadie listening in looks at me and says:
Sadie: "Can we go to Disneyland with them sometime and see the fire workers?"
Me: (trying to listen to Brian online more than her) "Sure, we can go sometime."
Sadie: "With them?"
Me: "Who?"
Sadie: "With those people that Daddy is talking to."
Me: "Oh, those people. We'll see." (There are only about 700 teenagers there - and she wants them all to come to Disneyland with her to see the "fire workers".)
The girl is an includer. She wants everybody to be able to experience what she does.
Sounds like our little girl is going to be the type of person that likes alot of people involvement. Maybe she will do well in school. Like her mom. I remember you, getting everyone invloved. ie. cheerleading. Keep up the good work Sadie. Love, dad and papa
